Choosing a major that will help chances

I was wondering if choosing a major like nursing that would help me get in is a bad idea if I don’t really want to be a nurse? Is it hard to change schools within BC? Bc I want to major in history or English.

I’m hearing that I’d have a much better chance of acceptance if I applied into the school of education, is this true? How hard would it be to switch from the school of education to the college of arts and science?

Or does applying as a history major help my chances at all?

I don’t think it’s a good idea to apply for a major you don’t want. Not all schools accept students by major and those that do have seen all the tricks. I’d apply for the major you really want.

Nursing is just as tough and it will come across in your application that’s there’s no connection in words ecs or recs that is your passion. The admissions officers are pretty good at this and professional. The bigger school is mcas that includes classics lit English etc. give it a go there and do your best. Lynch education is also a specialty deal that will be filled with committed applicants with a package demonstrating that passion. I think you really have to be yourself.
