Choosing between colleges

I am a senior and I’ve been accepted into: Temple University for Music Education and a concentration in voice
American University as a vocal music major
University of Rochester with BA in music and
Vassar for music.
I’m not really sure what is my best option.
I am leaning towards Vassar but I wanted to hear more opinions.
I’ve only been studying voice for 2 years and I still consider myself a beginner compared to everyone else applying.
I do wish to have a career in music in the future with a solid education in a non-music course so I have a backup plan.
Also I want to end up in musical theater so my plan is to go to undergraduate for classical and graduate for musical theater.
I know asking now is extremely last minute but if anyone could give me some guidance as to picking a college that would be great! Thank you.

Two important things in undergrad VP(classical). Your choice should be based on the least amount of debt and the best teacher. Since you want to ultimately do musical theater, you might want to check into the Musical Theater Majors threads. BTW most MT people do not go to grad school since those years (in your early 20’s) are your prime performance years. In classical voice—you are still a baby in your 20’s.

Thank you so much!

My D was a History and Musical Theater major at American. It was very easy to double major - most students do. She took voice lessons through the music department and really liked her voice teacher. However, American is not particularly strong in music and there are not many performance opportunities. Most music majors are double majors in something else. And the department is very small. Great university, however, and wonderful DC location.
