Okay, so I am planning on double majoring in Political Science and either English or History, possibly with a minor in the other. I'm currently a junior and taking competitive courses, but I have to start thinking about next year - what will best prepare me for my college classes, but also what will look best on my application. My school only requires three years of math, science, and history (there is no History 4, just electives). So I have the option of having these classes:
AP English 4
AP Government and Politics
Physics
Trig/Pre-Calc/Statistics
Gym
Spanish 4
World & National Affairs
Lunch Study/Elective

or:
AP English 4
AP Government & Politics
Western Civilization
World & National Affairs
Gym
Spanish 4
Law & Economics
Lunch Study/Holocaust & Genocide/Creative Writing

I don't know which will be better to take because the second one is obviously best for my desired major, however will colleges care that I take three years instead of four of math and science. I would really like to take courses I'm interested in, but I want to get accepted to a good college too. I have a lot of extracurriculars as well (marching band, basketball, Model United Nations, yearbook, 4 leadership positions at church, and various volunteer work with school and church totaling probably about 60 hours per year)
