To my understanding, you don't have to declare a major, but you still have to choose one of the schools/colleges within the university when you apply? Doesn't that mean you do need to have a general idea of what you want to study?</p>
<p>Yes - you have summed it up accurately IMO. If you are totally undecided, I think that is Weinberg College of Arts & Sciences. But I think you could also be an undecided engineer and apply to McCormick Engineering. You should contact Admissions Dept at each University for the correct answer.</p>
