Choosing LAFAYETTE. URGENT!

Guys, I know this might seem ridiculous and 'showy', but i'm facing a real dilemna. I've been accepted to Lafayette and HKUST (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology) and i cant decide where to go. I literally have a change of heart 8 times each day.

So I need you people's advice. No one at my school has ever undergone the US college admission process. Hence the teachers/counsellors have no idea. None of my class-fellows applied, so this is the only place where i can discuss this. I NEED HELP!

Finances will play a part. At Lafayette, it'll cost me 40-45K in total over 4 yearsfor my undergrad degree(41K aid). At HKUST, it'll be around 25K in total over 3 years. Now, by no means am i living from hand to mouth, but similarly i'm certainly not rolling cash. If i really want to go to Lafayette, my parents are prepared to stump up the cash.

WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK!?

It might help to provide more information about you, such as what are you looking to study, what you find pro/con about each school, what outside interests you have that will factor into your decision.

Based on your initial post I don’t think we get enough of a sense of what you are looking for and since most may not know enough of the two options just by name some details from you would maybe prompt some discussion that you’d find helpful.

if you can afford it, it will do the most for your life…

I am assuming you live in HK and am thus recommending you come to the US. Even if you lived in US, I would then go abroad to study!
