<p>I was just wondering if it is possible to choose or request roommates? I know most people just do random but is it possible to have some choice if we have a friend we might want to room with?</p>
<p>you can put your request at the bottom of the roommate form under 'other comments' or whatever ... but no guarantees that they'll honor it....</p>
<p>ORL generally tries their best to please you. If you stress the reasons why you REALLY want to room with this person then I bet they will grant that.</p>

<p>Personally, I would advise against rooming with your "friends from home" because </p>
<ol>
<li>you never really know a person until you live with them</li>
<li>it may limit you meeting new people</li>
<li>if you have roommate problems who are you going to vent to, where the person who you would usually vent to is the source of your problem.</li>
</ol>
<p>If you really want to maintain your friendship, room with someone else</p>
<p>I agree with sybbie. I think it could be fun to room with an acquaintance or someone you meet at Dimensions, but I agree with sybbie about not rooming with a good friend from home.</p>
<p>And yup I'm back in Hanover!! I'm super excited for this term. And it snowed today!</p>
