I’m a high school sophomore, so I know that I still have time to look at colleges. I am really attracted to Christian colleges as a whole, but the problem is that I don’t get to church as often as I should but am personally quite religious, and thus can’t really get my pastor to fill out a pastoral reccomendation that many of the schools (i.e. Wheaton) require of students. Aside from most of the Catholic schools (which I’m already looking into,) does anyone know of any other Christian schools that don’t require pastoral recommendations?
St. Olaf and Calvin don’t require them.
Neither does Concordia (Moorhead); references are optional.
Northwestern College (IA) does not require one!
How serious a “recommendation” does it have to be? I have signed them for teens before, simply stating that they are members of the church and giving whatever other verification they need. The more glowing LOR came from teachers.
