I’m going to try those day after Christmas!

Overnight French toast casserole makes the morning easier. Mimosas for all, also whatever coffee you want from the super automatic.

You can mix some finely chopped apples into the batter. Yum!!

Cinnamon rolls always on Christmas morning when our kids were growing up. Now that it’s just H and me, I don’t do the cinnamon rolls. I sometimes make a coffee cake. I haven’t decided what to do this year yet.

But, like @thumper1, it is always coffee first. And it will be a holiday blend this year.

In our house, it wouldn’t be Christmas morning without homemade beignets and cafe au lait. Accompaniments vary yearly, but those pillowy squares of freshly fried dough buried under a mountain of powered sugar are a constant. Lots of memories tied to this treat.

we have brunch, not breakfast–

Quiche or spanish tortilla
Bowl of fruit that nobody eats
Bacon which they fight over
Plate of christmas cookies which are gone in 5 min
French toast later when someone notices they are hungry

I made @BunsenBurner pancakes a few posts above this morning to trial it and :+1::clap::ok_hand: they are really good! Different texture and flavor since they have yeast. I added apples to mine as she suggested and ropes with chopped pecans and maple syrup - I’m someone who likes goodies in or on my pancakes or waffles.

Highly recommend !

That would be me. I’ll pass every time. If I even eat one piece a week it’s because DH put it on my plate. I’ve always considered fruit an ornamental, not food.
