<p>Yes, son did. I assume all accepted students were sent one? Son’s arrived same day as scholarship interview notification and a few days after acceptance.</p>
<p>WOW! You have already heard about scholarship interviews. That is great. We’re monitoring the mail and remain hopeful. I hope the interview goes well for you. </p>

<p>Student…thank you. I am not sure when everyone hears about scholarships or interviews for scholarships. Son’s is for the President’s and is not until March. Good Luck.</p>
<p>Wow! That is the best! Good for your son. I’m surprised their sending out invites so soon, thinking that the pool will come from all applicants and the RDs aren’t in yet. That says even more for your son’s preparation. “Good job” to you both!</p>

<p>I think you had to have all your application materials in by a certain date in December to be considered for certain scholarships. Son applied EA, so all his required documents were in by Nov. 15th. Again, thank you.</p>
<p>are these for merit scholarships or something different? I was under the impression that they automatically take that into consideration at a later date am i wrong?</p>
<p>Your understanding is the same as what I understood from the website, Macguy My son thought performing arts maybe a bit different.</p>
<p>My bad. I meant to say January deadline. If you apply by January 15th, you will be considered for the merit based scholarships. The November deadline was for EA applicants. My son applied way back in the early fall, so it is hard to remember. I am sure SMU selects scholarship candidates from the EA pool of applicants as well as the RD pool of applicants. I am sure those who applied after the EA deadline will be hearing something soon. My son has only received a scholarship interview invitation…not a scholarship offer. I believe there are only a few scholarship that require the interview. Sorry, if I caused any confusion and best of luck to everyone. :)</p>
