Got mine today. $7500 a year for 4 years. A little disappointed. Anyone else?

same thing.
i need more money.!
lol.

i got 7500 + 5000 + 3750 (not sure abt this)..

can u post ur stats?? thanks

mine: 3.7 ish sat 2170 international

I'm hoping I can be a finalist for the presidential, but we'll see...

So far I've got 7500 + 7500 + 2500.
Anyone know anything about the President's Scholarship, and how hard it is to get it?

Would you mind telling what the three scholarships that you have been awarded were? Did you apply for the Hunt scholarship? If so, have you heard anything yet? Thanks.

The three I got were Distinguished Scholar, Engineering Fellows, and Rotunda Scholar, respectively. And I did apply for the Hunt Scholarship, but I haven't heard anything yet. However, I did learn that for the President's Scholarship, they will be finished selecting the finalists within the next two weeks with interviews being held on March 20. I assume that the Hunt Scholarship will have a similar schedule. Even still, I hope I get one of the two!

If you have already received the Distinguished and Rotunda Scholarships is it still possible to get the Presidential? How did you find out about the Presidential deadline? Have you received a letter about being nominated for the Honors Program? Thanks for the info.

My S received a letter about being nominated for some sort of Honors living program. Anybody know anything about this?

I sure hope that I can still get the Hunt or President's Scholarship. My assumption is that if I do get it, it will be downsized so that the money can go to other students who need it. (there might be a monthly stipend in it for me also!) Anywho, these two scholarships mean a lot to me because they will be the deciding factor on whether of not I attend SMU. As for the Honors program, I think I was nominated for it a week or two ago. I lost track of the letter!

"The Hilltop Scholars Program (HSP) at SMU offers a unique living-learning environment for first-year students. The HSP difference begins with the convenient, in-residence hall location of some classes, smaller class size and the continued learning that happens in the residence hall after class has ended. In addition, Hilltop Scholars host regular programs and speakers in their residence hall."

For those of you who have been awarded merit scholarships or admission to the honors program, was this included in your admissions letter? Or did you receive a separate letter about it? Just wondering because my son received his admissions package today, but there was no mention of scholarships or honors.

My S was admitted in mid-December and then about a week later he heard that he was a BBA Scholar and then a week after that one scholarship and a week later another scholarship. Good luck.

That's a relief. The other schools mentioned merit money in their admissions letter. I was worried that there wouldn't be any from SMU since they didn't say anything.
Thank you.
