<p>I like netflix because people come over to watch movies with me and it’s kind of hard to all crowd around a laptop, it’s a very simple social outlet, but I guess not everybody appreciates that.</p>
<p>Somebody mentioned a portable harddrive in the thread in the parents forum, that’s a good idea. My dad ended up having to buy me one right after I moved anyway because we had to reformat my harddrive and I had to back it up first. Makes me feel much better that my life is not completely over forever if somebody steals my laptop or if it breaks.</p>

<p>The new ipod is pretty kickass. I had one purchased and in my hand but it was defective so I had to ship it back, and then I realized I could really use that $200. So I am asking for a $30 portable radio instead.</p>
<p>I was going to suggest a quick vacation somewhere, but the lift tickets are a form of that already. I really like the suggestion of a photo album or something else that is from the heart. Gift cards and cash are better than some gadget they may not want but would feel uncomfortable returning. A body groomer would be a good idea if they had asked for one, but otherwise it’s an awkward gift. If you really wanted to do that, a gift card and a cutout of a body groomer from that store’s add would be less awkward IMHO.</p>
