Chrome because IE is a bit rubbish and I don’t need all of the crazy add-ons that having firefox tempts me to get.

Safari is awful.

Chrome > > > FF > IE > > > > > Safari

quoted for truth

I got Chrome when it first came out.

It ended up crashing two laptops in a row.

So no Chrome for me.

I’ve used Chrome, Firefox, and Safari (this is all on a mac). There are things about each I like and don’t like, but I gravitate towards Safari. I can’t speak for it on Windows, but the Mac version feels “just right”. I’ve used both Firefox and Chrome since their individual release dates on Windows, but firefox falls short on the mac and chrome kinda does to (though chrome looks sweet).

Hello world. I am about go give you fact and ONLY fact. The link you are about to receive is from a site where research is the top priority. They test EVERYTHING.

[Internet Browser Software Review 2010 - TopTenREVIEWS](http://internet-browser-review.toptenreviews.com/)

Based on a vote from the reviewers, the top pick was FireFox. Before arguing, realize that they say Chrome and FireFox are virtually tied. In the end, it all came down to personal preference. FireFox is less sleak, but has better security and the ability to use add-ons. Note that Chrome and Firefox run at approximately the same speed, though Firefox is slightly faster.

I personally use FireFox just because I like the way it is organized (the toolbars, the customization options, etc.).

Before you start bashing me and my preference of FF, just know that I have done A LOT of research (spending hours trying every browser I could find) and after all, it’s just an opinion.

So goodbye haters, I hope the link has provided you with a better understanding of internet browsers.

-Mark

After using strictly IE, I tried FF and found it too busy. Tried Chrome and loved it immediately.

One thing I have noticed though is that Chrome is not loading as quickly as when I first started with it. What could be causing that?

Firefox is just way too heavy, IE is garbage, and Opera isn’t well-supported enough. Safari does not deserve a mention. So, I use Chrome for graphical and elinks for text browsing.

-Noimagination and RSbuletz, you both say that FF just has too much, but I think that all other browsers just have WAY too little. Where is the home button of Chrome? Where is the bookmarks menu or the history menu? Where are the add-ons to enhance the browsing experience? Where is the smart search bar that can be used with google, yahoo, amazon, wikipedia, etc.? It is like trying to compare a naked human to a clothed human. The naked human may look more natural, but it has only the bare essentials of living and has no luxury features. The only reason the naked human is content is because it doesn’t know what it is missing. On MY (keyword MY) opinion (from having tried Chrome), it is very difficult to find certain menus. Also, Chrome has TERRIBLE customer support! There is ZERO telephone or email support. That is FACT.

I stand by my point.

FF KILLS Chrome.

Home button: Options -> Basics -> Show Home button on the toolbar
Bookmarks: Ctrl+Shift+b
History: Ctrl+h
Search: Chrome automatically detects search engines and adds them as keywords. For example, to search amazon I just type amazon * in the address bar. You can also add search engines manually.
Add-ons: Chrome has extensions. I’ve found what I need.

Fail.
Does Mozilla have an 800 number?

Phone support for a web browser? Is that remotely necessary?

I like the simple crappiness of Safari

-noimagination, I never said that Chrome doesn’t have those features, I simply said that they are easier to use on firefox since they are automatically there. Also, no Firefox does not have telephone support, but at least they have email support. Chrome has nothing.

-Thiscouldbeheavn, here is pic of google chrome, I see no home button…

http://gatodiario.files.■■■■■■■■■■■■■/2009/03/google-chrome.jpg

Also, you are right, telephone support is unnecessary, but chrome doesn’t even have email support!

Look people, I didn’t mean to start a fight, I’m just saying that I PERSONALLY like firefox better because of the reasons already stated. I am not saying you have to.

CHILLLLL OUTTTTT

^ You like Firefox more because you don’t have to spend about 60 seconds changing settings one time when you first downloaded it, and yet you spent “hours trying every browser I could find”. I congratulate you on your time management skills.

^ You like Chrome more because you like simplistic browsers, not complicated browsers. Both browsers are equal. It is all a matter of preference.

BTW, I am not supposed to have good time management skills, I am only 12. Also, I congratulate you on your maturity, ability to handle defeat (chrome losing to FF in vote: Internet Browser Software Review 2010 - TopTenREVIEWS), and your ability to have a reasonable discussion without being rude.

As obvious from your username, it seems you really do have, “no imagination”.

so you don’t have a widescreen monitor? is that really the difference

chrome just owns everything

Don’t tell me why I do what I do. I don’t like excessive resource usage. I actually don’t like Chrome very much, but it’s the least of many evils for graphical browsing. I prefer to use text-only elinks when possible.
Are you really posting on CC at age 12? Save yourself before it’s too late. I’m sure you’re an awesome person. Go out and enjoy yourself. Seriously.

I like chrome. as of right now, internet explorer is relatively laggy on my computer on the exact same website as chrome, which operates much faster.

Why is someone who’s 12 congratulating someone else for their Maturity? :
