Is it true that the extra $3000 for OOS has been eliminated?

My D has accepted the invitation to Cincinnatus Scholarship competition and I wonder if she'll still get the $3000 in addition to whatever she gets from the competition.

We are temporarily living abroad, so our resources to Financial Aids are limited. Does anyone recommend any other scholarships or grants that she can apply?

My D has been admitted to the program of Industrial Design, how much can we expect to spend each year on books and supplies?

I will give you a clear cut answer: It depends. Yes, they have eliminated the automatic $3,000 extra given to out of state kids. Out of state kids used to get a minimum of $5,000 per year from the Cincinnatus and now it is $2,000. However, this isn't the whole story.

Cincinnati wanted to provide more scholarships in other ways and not be hindered by an automatic $5,000. Thus the other $3,000 or more is still given out selectively based on need, merit etc. Thus, it is still possible to get $5,000 or more depending on your grades.
