Not sure what else to include.

Stanford/MIT/CalTech are all very high stretches. Not a lot of unique intensive ECs to distinguish from the crowd and your test scores are not spectacular.

Berkeley and UCLA are both reaches, but might be probable. Again, test scores and lack of ECs hurt you. UCLA probably most likely

CIT/MIT: High Reach
Stanford: High Reach
UCB: Low Reach
UCLA: High Match-Low Reach

So is there anything I could do to improve my chances with the non-UC schools?

Unfortunately, Stanford, CIT, and MIT all have the luxury of choosing the students that have amazing academics like yours, and also have the best extra curriculars. You do have really good extra curriculars (I’d say better than mine), but thousands of kids that apply to those three universities have academics as great as yours, but have done something that seperates them from other students with amazing grades. Its normally that they have done something significant that changes a large group of people. The other day I read an article about a girl who had decent grades, but had come up with a health curriculum that 10 states adopted. She was accepted into MIT, Stanford, Columbia and Johns Hopkins.

Now for how to increase your chances. Although I did say that those colleges want people who did something significant, academics still say alot. Try to become 1/422 aside from 2/422. And combine that with doing something big, such as becoming a finalist or something in a large statewide science fair, and you have a good shot.

MIT:High reach
CIT: High reach
Stanford: High reach
UCB: Because youre a cal resident, match/ high match
UCLA: Because youre a Cal resident, match

good luck at CIF prelims though! Which section are you from and which division will you be competing in? :D

Thank you! I’m in Southern Section - Division II.

I would say to improve your chances really try to get as high as standardized scores as possible, not much else. Good luck!!

highly unlikely, 1800 sat score and those ap’s score are just too low, google silverturle’s sat guide. Buy the blue book and try to raise ur sat score by at least 300. On the bright side your running stats might help u.
