I’m hoping (haha) to but I’m not completely sure if I want to because of time.
I am! Do you guys know if there’s like a set list of the available research areas at City of Hope for the application or do you just kind of deduce the areas based on the website?
Yah I was wondering this too… I can’t find any list on the website
^^^ Same. I asked the same question over email and they said:
“Once we begin the second phase and a student is selected to pass the first round, I will provide a list of mentors that are open to taking a mentee for the summer. Students will not know the list until I provide it to them, as it changes each year. You will be able to email them; some may choose to have a Skype interview or meet you in person. I would not suggest contacting them beforehand.”
There’s no way of really knowing. Hope that helped.

I advanced to the 2nd round! Unfortunately, the process is far from over. Do the mentors contact you? Should I email those who I’m interested in working with? I’m so confused :/.

@JuicyMango Congratulations!! Write a nice email to contact the PIs you are interested in and let them know of your availability for phone interview next week. Many PIs will ask for a phone interview.
