So I just went to the early candidates weekend, and I was blown away by the academics, school spirit, campus, and pretty much everything. My one concern with Nova is that I am under the impression that not many students go into the city. If I go to Nova, I would want to go into the city more often than not, and take advantage of everything Philly has to offer.
Anyway, I was wondering if there are students who DO go into the city often, instead of staying on campus

A lot of students the first few weeks of school go into the city and then as classes pick up, rarely go into the city except for big sporting events like Villanova bsketball games at wells fargo center. It depends on your major and how busy you get because usually when students go into the city, they spend the whole day there…i.e it can be time consuming. However, if you really like philly then I am sure you can find like minded students who go in every other weekend or so…if you are concerned about it being a hassle, it is not. Transportation from nova to downtown is very easy with speta(train) stops right on campus.

@soccerally Hey, there! I’m a current Villanova student in my sophomore year! I’d have to agree with Nova2011, if you are willing to put in the effort and can make time, it is very easy to go into the city and explore, but it can be time consuming. My friends and I go into the city and surrounding area pretty frequently and try to make time to get off campus at least twice a month. We went off-campus a lot more during our freshman year and we often forget the luxury of having two train stations on our campus. Take advantage of it as often as possible! Hope that helps!
