Civil engineering chance?

Hello!

I am an incoming senior at a rigorous high school in California. I have wanted to be a civil engineer since 6th grade. I am a white male, veghead, and have low income ~45K (family of 6).

I have 3.41 non-weighted, 3.73 weighted Gpas.(a-g requirements. higher with others.)

Sat- 790 math ( I LOVE math, 510 reading, 580 writing (will be studying all summer and expect to raise CR to 600-650 and writing to 650-680)

5 Ap Classes and 6 next year. passed 1, waiting for the rest
World history: 3
Calculus AB ~4/5
Physics B~4/5
Language and Comp.~3
US History~4/5

Sports/Clubs:
soccer (9-11)/12
track (10,11)
Cross Country (11)
MASC (11)/12
Star Wars Club (9)
rubiks cube club (10)
cultural connections (10,11)

extra curricular:
Job over summer-20hrs a week
bird rescue~300+ hours (yes, 3 hundred, my mom makes me)
Horse rescue~20+ hours
Fawn rescue~15+ hours

Cal Poly doesn’t really look at anything other than sat 1 scores and gpa. 3.73 weighted is more on the lower side. improve your sat cr and math to at least 1400 and u have a decent chance.

thanks! yeah my CR score was not what i expected and I am going to definitely retake

There is an EC supplement app as part of the main application. But it is relatively minor.

Avg engineering admit GPA 4.08, SAT 1388. So you will need a great score since your grades are below. Try ACT, you might get a better score.
