Civil Engineering @ UC Davis vs Case Western Reserve

Hey,

I don't think I'll be able to attend the university I planned on attending due to a really terrible financial aid package, so I'm split between UCD and CWR (both are covering practically 98% of all costs). I know a little more about Davis but don't know enough about CWR. Which program is better in terms of job opportunities and as an undergraduate experience overall? To clarify, I plan on going into Civil Engineering with hopes of pursuing a Masters in Architecture.

I would appreciate the insight, thanks!

Bump. I still am unable to find any information on the undergraduate programs at both institutions. Davis seems to only write about the graduate program, which doesn’t really help.

(also) If I go to Davis, I’m considering transferring to Berkeley. Any comments on the feasibility of doing this?

Thanks!

…Anybody?

I think both schools are roughly about equal. Obviously, I’m biased towards Davis. Davis has a nice laid back feel, with the exception of when the anarchists come and stage a protest. Most students who go to Davis do not have too much trouble finding a job afterward, or getting into grad school, and most who don’t are obviously not making much of an effort. Believe me, you will see these types of people.

Probably the biggest advantage Davis has over Case Western is the weather. Davis has winters in the mid-50’s, while Case Western has winters in the mid-30’s. Quality of life is important. Have you visited both schools?
