Claremont Mckenna.. Chance me please.

Hi,

Planning on doing an internship with a non-profit human rights group. Might do a pre-college summer program as well. Chances?

I’m hoping this gets some attention. I’ve been looking at CMC for awhile (I’m also a junior) but no one seems to answer specifically to these chance threads… Good luck!
It looks like we have pretty similar stats, very different but similar weight EC’s too.

GASP
A CMC applicant with no athletics?! OUTRAGEOUS!

In all seriousness though, I think you have yourself in a pretty nice spot. Make sure you recognize your passions EARLY in the application process and identify the topics that are going to drive your essays. At a school of its selectivity, those supplements make a world of difference. Try focusing on a few of your EC’s that not many other applicants might have (such as your involvement in girl scouts or passion for entrepreneurship).

And CMC does accept the SAT 2. However, note that they are not required. I only recommend sending them if they are 700+.

If you’re not accepted ED 1 at CMC then I strongly suggest you consider Pomona ED 2. Personally, I think you’d make a better fit there but nobody is going to know yourself better than you do.

Best of luck!
