Hellohello. Has anyone here had their interview for CMC yet? Or maybe some current students who have had interviews? What are they like? I'm a bit nervous for my interview this friday =/.

I remember when I had mine it was the worst and the best!
It was the worst because I was given a date and time, when I got there the person who wrote down my date and time wrote down the date of the day before! So essentially I was one day late-although I wasn't aware of the mistake.
It was the best in the sense that they were very accommodating at the last minute. They weren't grilling you the way an interviewer might during a job interview. They essentially want to get to know you for the sake of knowing you. They asked me how I heard of CMC, what were some of my academic interests/passions, and why CMC.

For every interview I have had so far it has been easy. In general the interviews don't mean very much, it is a good time for you to ask questions about the school.

Ah, thanks guys. It seems pretty general/straight forward/relaxed yeah?

What's the best way/cheapest way to get from LAX to Claremont?

Yeah I had mine last month, and I felt like my interviewer talked more than I did! It was more or less a little hour-long information session for you to learn about CMC and for them to learn a bit about you... nothing painful at all :D

its recommended to fly in through ontario, less traffic and closest to campus.

My girls always take Super Shuttle to and from LAX or Ontario. One goes to Mudd and the other to CMC so it's handy. You can make reservations and pay online and it's pretty easy. They take you to and pick you up right at the campus. Ontario is closer and easier but the choice of flights isn't as good. John Wayne is a pretty good option too.
Good Luck to you!

Flyaway bus from LAX to Union Station (downtown LA), then Metrolink train on San Bernardino line to Claremont, and then walk a mile from Claremont Depot to the CMC Admission Office. The whole thing should only cost you about $11.
