I am currently facing a tough decision, albeit a good one, but a tough one none the less. I have been accepted to Claremont Mckenna, Emory, and WashU. I am currently not sure if I want to major in business, or premed. I would love to hear some input from actual students so I am posting this thread on all their walls. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

All 3 of them are great schools but WashU has an edge over CMC and Emory.

Since you’re considering pre-med, you should know that WashU has one of the best, if not the best pre-med programs in the nation! Also, the olin business school undergrad program has been rising the ranks over the past few years and it’s definitely top notch.

But WashU is more than just top programs. Over the years, students have chosen WashU over many other “brand-name” or higher ranked colleges because of the wonderful community here at WashU, the friendly students and the welcoming atmosphere in general!
You should also know that quality of life doesn’t get better anywhere else. WashU’s dorms have been ranked No.1 in the nation by princeton review this year and the food has also been ranked consistently in the top 5!

And since you’ve already been accepted, I’m assuming you’re a finalist for one of the scholarship programs? That’s amazing!

You should definitely chose WashU. You won’t regret it.

You have already been accepted to WashU? I thought decisions wouldn’t come out until March 8. Did you apply ED?

He/she cross posted on all three boards and someone on the Claremont asked the OP the same question, as to how they could apply ED to all three schools. More likely they applied to all three and are trying to gauge what to do if they are fortunate enough to be accepted at one or more of them…

@jandjdad

If OP were simply gauging the 3 schools, then he/she probably wouldn’t claim to have been accepted already.

She’s probably a finalist for one (or more) of the scholarships at WashU and Emory. The finalists are handed their acceptances on the 20th of Feb at WashU. Not sure about Emory. And CMC, maybe they’ve got similar scholarship programs as well.

Nobody knows about the CMC scholarships yet, so there’s no way the OP knows he/she is accepted to CMC without being accepted ED, which would make this post pointless.

@Thatrunnerkid: In that case, there’s a high chance that this is a ■■■■■ post.
