i honestly can't decide. pls help, give me your opinions and etc! and let's reach a decision together! ^_^

Why not both? My DD has both on her list, but she is applying RD.

I think they are comparable academically. I think I would fit in better at Claremont McKenna which seems more athletic, preppy, and conservative. Emory seems more liberal with large Jewish and Asian populations comparatively. Both schools seem pre-professional which I consider a plus.

Oh lacrossemom, I plan on applying one for ED that is why.

Do you really want to apply ED if you do not have a clear first choice?

Doesn’t sound like ED is best option if you are torn. If you aren’t 100% in love with one, then RD might be better. I think the two are academically similar, however the campus feel is different. Claremont is also harder to get into.

If OP has no preference between the two schools, but they are both top choices, he/she should still apply to one ED to increase his/her chances for admission.

Both schools also have ED 1 and 2, so if you get rejected from the first you can apply ED to the 2nd.

timetodecide12 – What if you are an athletic, preppy, and conservative Jew with Asian roots and liberal friends? Just to let you know you just described my ENTIRE family with your post.

OP what are you looking for? Clearly there isn’t a one size fits all answer for your question.

Agree with spectrum2. Without more information about what you want, it’s impossible to tell you which would be a better fit.

Strongly disagree. LAC’s and Unis have much different collegiate experiences.

Perhaps all of that is true (or not), but it CMC is just one-fifth of the whole Claremont College experience. Spitzer, for example, is the antithesis “athletic, preppy, and conservative”.

^You’re thinking of the former NY governor, I believe you meant Pitzer.
