Can anyone tell me what it is like to live within the Claremont system of colleges?

Hi CrystalJ:

I don’t think anyone feels up to answering your question because it is so open-ended and vague. Whatever they might tell you in response can easily be found in fairly hefty and organized “chunks” within other posts n this site.

Just search “Pomona” or “Claremont consortium” …(fill in the blank), or go quickly down the list on each of the member college CC pages.

Good luck!

Worth a try!

Are you talking about the town itself or just the traveling between one college and the other?

The townnn.

What about the town? Most of the events within Claremont are run by the colleges. Anything outside the colleges is mostly done in LA. Claremont has movie theaters, restaurants (generally a little pricy), and is pretty. There’s also things like Yogurtland and Jamba Juice. Claremont is just off a highway exit, so it’s very easy to get out if you have access to a car (zipcar is very easy to get, and a lot of friends will have cars).
