Clark Scholars Program!!

I think there'll also probably be a lot more applicants than last year (86) since this was put on CC so early. But...I don't know...if I get accepted to something I want to feel like it's an actual accomplishment than a cheat or a copout. Oh well--decisions started around the 19th last year so let's just see how things go ^_^

i'm running out of patience...
come on, let us know!

do they contact thorugh e-mail or regualar postal mail?

They call you!

I know that calls have been received. My friend got in but she declined.

^ Congrats!! At least we now know they're starting the calls :P Will you be attending or are going somewhere else? (RSI, I see)

I think they definitely rank the acceptance list...

yes...I guess.

well, i hope you guys get in!! cuz im going to hshsp :] i was deciding b/t that and ssp. they both have awesome college acceptances...but i wanna do research :)

^ Me too, especially since I find research really exciting and I'm thinking on possibly entering Intel & Siemens next year. Those are some of the reasons why I really want to get into Clark rather than default to my backup!

I hope they leave messages on answering machines. Anyone know? I had to stay after school today and I'm going to be unable to pick up anything basically until Tuesday >_>

hehe....I've a worse problem....abt phone....i need to contact them and give them my new cell phone number......hehe.

lol (10 char)

do they contact cell or home? Actually my home phn like 2 days ago was not working. Also my cell randomly stops working and it new too. I hope they can reach me.

Wow, if acceptances are coming out, then I'd better stop lurking on this thread. I'd rather find out about my rejection when they contact me. :P

I have a gut feeling they are gonna contact tommorow. THey will prolly have to leave a message since i live in the pacific time zone and i don't get back home until 5 pacific.

I'm not sure if they leave messages. I mean, they'd want to know immediately if you'll be declining, right?

Pretty confident, eh? ;P Oh well. I think if I don't get a call by next week, I'm just going to email them and hear my rejection than waiting for the letter.

Wow, that might be a problem... No one in my family ever answers the phone.

Do you think they call us if we've been rejected? Or just leave us to assume?

They probably inform you eventually, haha. It's unprofessional not to. Probably by mail rather than mass-emailing like Cornell, but you never know.

Wait don't they call everyone? Or do they only call those who got accepted. Actaully i am not confident at all since this program is like RSI where i already got rejected from.

they only call ppl who get in. and dont worry about getting rejected from rsi. i got rejected... which was a huge blow.. i actually forced myself to forget about clarks cuz i didnt want to be dissapointed again. surprisingly i got accepted.. so hey you never noe what will happen. (same goes w/ college admissions.. rejection/acceptance one place tells u very little about what will happen somewhere else if u are a competitive applicant)

so i duno if this will be any comfort to u rsi "rejects"..bu i think everyone who ended up going to clarks got rejected from rsi.. which i guess is understandable because i think most ppl who get into both would pick rsi over clark. but looking back.. im so glad i went to clarks instead of rsi

^ You mean...everybody accepted by Clark did apply to RSI? Wow~

BTW, where are you going this fall? :) Or taking a leap year?
