Clark Scholars Program!!

actually, this is as hard as RSI for out of state students

^ That sounds reasonable aside that my school is uber competitive for RSI (okay, I think 2-3 people got in this year?) and RSI has its number-of-participants-per-state limits. That was why I didn't apply--my first semester grades were embarrassing and I didn't do math/physics team, etc.. However, nobody I know of applied to Clark, thus it's loads easier for me in my opinion. Still, it's crazy hard!

I regret not applying to RSI.

me too...i thought my stats wouldn't be able to live up against all other applicants.....I thought that I would be more qualified for MIT Mites than RSI.

Coming to think of it, I should've applied to SSP and HSPSP (sp.) as backup. I'm pretty sure they'd accept me.

Sigh, but I do have an uber-fun, uber-secret, uber-self-enriching backup that is non-science.

^yeah SSP and HSHSP aren't so hard to get into. Kinda wish i applied to harder programs like RSI and MITES etc.

Oh Narcissa I thought you applied to RSI.

1 sign of spending too much time on CC: knowing fully well what summer programs other users have applied to.

I was sort of interested in SSP, it's just that I think anything with a price tag that isn't negative is sort of common-man. Also, I HATE staying up late!

nope, lol, because i wouldn't get in

SSP sent me their stuff. I like CS but I could care less about stars... now thinking about it, it would have been cool looking at stars anyway :/

Or at the very least, awesomely chill.

I prefer the daytime star ;)

lol SSP isn't all about astronomy though... like seriously :)

I am tired and sleepy T_T Let's try for page 11 before decisions come out?

Haha, I'm starting to wonder why applied to this program. It sounded (and still sounds) like a lot of fun, but I completely underestimated its selectivity. I'm, like, ten times less qualified than all you guys, and you're here lamenting your chances. :(

Let's play "Guess the Gender"

Narcissa and classof09 are easy.

Didnotfaillife, I would have to say, male.

I do not deserve to be accepted into Harvard's summer school program if I cannot identify stargirl.

Innovative...girl.

blue_sky...girl.

hamsi...guy.

(I'm just scrolling to past pages here)

wildchartermage...guy.

A-Card...is listed.

lunar_years...hmm, this is a tough one. Girl?

PKswmr76 ... guy.

mjchiu2k, Momindant ...too easy for comment.

degoutant ... guy

VPof09 ... girl.

Okay, I'm done.

I feel I am 80% +-20% right.

hahaah.marimare...I'm a girl, not a guy...
what made u think I'm a guy? how do u know those ppl are girl or guy?

Lunar-year AKA L****, don't underestimate urself. I'm prob the same here. yeah, marimare, you've guess lunar-year's gender right.

btw: i'm a guy too! not a girl! lol.

like just a few hours ago...i heard back from my top choice summer internship one.. (NOT clark scholars)....and they basically told me that I'm overqualified for it....I don't even know how I'm feeling right now...if they only told me b4 that "okay ppl w/ these experiencces or stats or etc. r overqualifiied or sumthing along the line...."..I wud rethink of spending the most time out of all the summer program things that I applied too....:/ ugh! well, more over, the application clearly states that this program is academically intensive..and that socioeconomic statuses wud of secondary considerations....anyway, I need to get over it..and just hope that clarks and the local internship don't consider me underqualified.

haahha, i'm probably underqualifed for those summer programs, though I'm lucky to get into one summer research program.
