No. You do not sound at all like a Clarkie. Clark uses a holistic admissions process. You are putting so much stress on numbers and quantity of activities. I don’t see much cohesiveness in your selection of activities.
Marching bands? Uhhh… try crew? There is no marching band at Clark - or at any New England college that I know of.
I realize that this was a couple of years ago. However, I know something about Clark. Students their are cool, intellectual, liberal politically. I’d say they tend to be hipster types.
This student does involve herself in a lot of community service. That part of her profile would be consistent with “being a Clarkie”.
You are not putting excessive emphasis on numbers and quantity of activities, @kmiknik. You have simply listed them. When you apply you can order your activities more meaningfully. Clark would love to have you. Good luck.
However, no marching band. I agree that there are some meaningful activities. And some not.
My purpose in posting and replying to this older post way simply to say that colleges such as Clark take a holistic approach when it comes to admissions, and they will look for applicants who fit their mold.
This applicant seems “all over the place”. Clark is not interested in numbers as much as it is intellectuality and passion.
Again, the best schools are becoming test optional.
