Clarkson Business vs Ithaca Business

hi all… son was accepted to both Clarkson’s biz program and Ithaca’s biz program. Both schools attest to the high after graduation placement rates in either grad school or the working world. Both schools appear to be small and accomplished. Aside from location (which is a plus for Ithaca) … what are the pluses and minuses of either. And… even if you’re not able to contrast or compare schools… give some of the pluses or minuses or the business program at either… Thanks in advance for the input…

My husband and I are Colorado parents, but originally from NY. We both have BSME (1984) from Clarkson. After that we spent 8 years in Binghamton, about 1 hour from Ithaca.

The biggest difference would likely be the tone of the school. Clarkson is very techinically oriented with a high percentage of students in engineering. I think that Ithaca is more of a liberal arts school. Either enviroment could work well for a business major, so it would depend upon which place your son “clicks” best.

As you know, both schools are in small towns far from the larger airports. And both are in small towns dominated by college students - I liked that

No doubt about it, scenery is great in Ithaca. That’s why you’ll see Tshirts that say, “Ithaca is Gorges”.
