Clarkson Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

One way I evaluate schools is by looking through online professor ratings. I know you have to take these with a large grain of salt as the evaluators are self-selected and may have axes to grind, etc. Nonetheless, my son (a senior EE major at UMass) found the EE professor ratings for UMass generally accurate. Anyway, I went through the reviews for ME professors at Clarkson and they come in for a pretty hard time by the students compared to other schools. Now I write off the comments about a prof being hard because that is how they should be; but when the comments talk about unprepared and disorganized profs, or profs who don’t take the time to correct their own mistakes, or waste most of the classtime on irrelvant tangents, then I take notice. Are there any Clarkson ME undergrads out there who can give me their view of the impression I have? Are these reviewers just way off?

On the other hand, the EE profs seem to get much better treatment from the students than do the ME profs. What do EE undergrads think of the program (and as compared to the ME program)?
