Please share what Merit Scholarship you were offered from Clarkson University and an idea of what your grades/scores were. Thank you.

bump… i’m a rising senior in high school looking at Clarkson, RPI, WPI, VA Tech… i’m also curious what folks have received

bump…i’d also like to know the answer to this!

My husband and I are both Clarkson grads. Today we received a fundraising request, and I was surprised and pleased to see that they claim 9 of 10 students have “need” and qualify for financial aid. (I suppose that could include loan-only aid).

Our son was a high-stats college applicant a few years ago. Due to travel logistics, he did not apply to Clarkson. At RPI he was offered $10K merit scholarship and some loans. Based on some tentative emails with Clarkson, I was under the impression that they would have offered more.

FYI - We were impressed with our Clarkson experiences. We have 2 kids in college right now, and we still donate to Clarkson. It is not one of the tippy top prestigious schools, but they give an excellent education and have a great placement department. In recent years they’ve added more research emphasis and improved facilities.

…what merit scholarships have you received?

…bump

Poolshark- I hope that by now you have received your financial aid/scholarship information. My son was admitted well over a month ago with no mention of scholarship/aid (though we LOVED the musical folder his acceptance arrived in-my son showed it to all his friends…great marketing) He received large merit scholarships from colleges with higher average stats. Last week he received his aid letter that included $20,000/per year in merit plus small aid. He/we could not have afforded to pay full tuition and had taken Clarkson off his list. Needless to say… its back on :).

When I got my Scholarship/Financial Aid stuff I got a scholarship from Clarkson that is worth 22,000 and I got a grant for 14340. I also got 2,300 in grant money I guess from my FAFSA. I don’t really know what sort of scholarship they offered me though…
