I have 4 AP classes and rank in the top 10.5%. But that's not good enough! I'm a straight A student who has 2 C's!!!! What am I to do? On top of that, I'm in GSA, Earth Club, and Secratary of my school's Drama Club. Plus I'm on the varsity ski team and have a horse of my own. I used to have a job, but I can't keep up. I have to pass my AP exams and score incredibly high on my SATs, ACTs, and SAT IIs. I'm really not sure how I'm keeping up with 8 legitamate classes and everything else, but what choices do I have? Did I mention I had a fever for a week and couldn't miss a single day? Now my doctors are talking about surgery (I have a birth defect) that will keep me out of school for a week! I'll never repair that damage!

5 ap's i am supposedly one of those kids in my school who should be in top 4/700. Well right now i have 3 b's. I think one is an A though, and the other one after the curves at the end, i might get an A. But apush, urg!!!!

After getting.... a C.... on an AP Bio test (why am I even in that class; I hate Biology and have for a long time) I created the "Get'cho S**t Together List" for myself. I'm quite proud. It's basically a mandate to study for a certain amount every night for certain subjects.

I will get my act together! And run Latin Club! And support my team! And be stage manager! And have a social life! And keep up creative writing! And go running! And get some sleep! See if you can stop me!

Wow, you go for it!! I wish I had a day with that many hours. 24 hours is not enough.

Lol. And for you, I'd recommend brain surgery over boring, numbing school any day of the week.

I'm doing desent in my classes. The only class I'm having trouble in is AP MIcroecon, I'm currently getting a D. :( I just hope I can get it to a C by the end of the semester.

Class rank is for losers

I agree; unfortunately, a lot of admissions boards don't.

uhmmm...
in response to all posts under this thread in general, I can truly say that we are all in the same situation.

its like a ongoing war. and each of us is a soldier at a different battle fighting for the same cause.its actually kind of interesting, becuase those who will survive at the end are those that have the best amunition(= money), most skill(= the you shaped by what you do ex. clubs), most talent(this is all you), or at the best battle(= the high school you go to) with a lot of allies(= connections). At the end, its all the same.

I can truly say that...I love junior year.

but my grades are so c*****...like only 1 solid A and like 4 B's...
in fact, i'm doing best in my worst subject(english) and worst in my best subject(chemistry). and even if I walked away with 3 A's and 2 B's I would be thoroughly satisfied.

uhmmm... life goes on.

sigh. junior year is the death.

i'm getting really depressed these days.
so many things to do, can't bring myself to do them.
GAHH

Oh my!

It's FINALS week and we don't have school today! AHHH!

i'm liking junior year. ap classes are actually easy... making all a's for the first time since frosh year.... everything on my junior year agenda checklist is actually working out, and i've even exceeded some goals.
life is awesome when you ditch procrastination. ;-)

But ditching procrastination is so hard (see the featured thread :P)

Most of the time I spend procrastinating is im-ing people that I otherwise would not have the time to talk with (camp friends, etc) and it's really hard to stop.

Yeah, finals tomorrow, and I have found that studying at about 11:00 pm is a great time for me! When I wake up in the morning, I remember everything that I studied. I want tomorrow and wednesday to be over so that i can stay at home and chill. :)

I just bombed my first final. Did okay on the 2nd. 5 more tomorrow.. Oh my!

Woah, i feel bad for you guys who have finals. I have reg. tests this week. But I do have a final for MicroEcon at the University of Minnesota (PSEO) which I'm gonna fail.........

Actually I should be studying for that instead of being on CC

^ CC does interfere with my studying as well :)

CC def hasn't kept me from studying. I've been studying all evening. I haven't reached the point of exhaustion where it's pointless yet so.. I'll go to bed now get a few hours of sleep. Go in early and try to get my Pre-Calc questions answered. This is the best studying I've done. I re-read or atleast skimmed 4 chapters of chemistry (all we're being tested over). I went through all of my math notes ((like 30 sections of math, 1.5 notebooks of notes) and wrote down all of my questions. I finished my accounting study guide, hoping i can get that checked before I take my final. History I've had down since last week. English I already bombed. Spanish I skimmed the study guide, will review more at lunch and before I take it (taking it last period) and Pre-Calc I feel very nervous about, but hopefully I'll do okay he curves it wonderfully

night guys!

2 APs and an honors (almost all i could take) + Swimming (takes up all of my life) + Extra-curricular **** = HELL!

WOOOOOOOOO-HOOOOOOOOOOOOO! FIRST SEMESTER DONE!! 521 days til I graduate!

Finals went okay... I don't know what I got on Accounting & Yearbook (assuming a bad grade, and an A respectively). I got an A- on Chem (final grade an A :D). A's on Pre-Calc, History and Spanish, so A's for my final grade in all of those. English I didn't do very well on, scraped by with a C, ended up with an A- for the semester. And the other two, who knows. Hopefully I'll keep my A- in accounting and I should easily have an A in yearbook...!

5 High School semesters down, 3 to go!!!!
