Class of 2009-Who's Going to Bates?!?

Share anything you want. I’ll start…

Sean540-Chicago, IL Public HS, 32 ACT, Top 15%

Living in Caracas, Venezuela, but from India; Private International school; 1410 (720V 690M) SAT; 750 Math IIC, 720 Writing, 640 Physics; 3.4 GPA; Top 15%; I speak English, Hindi, Punjabi and some Spanish. Uhh.. haha not sure what else to include...

(Include potential majors)
Economics and Mathematics

GO BOBCATS!

Um... dude, Mellowjello, you rule! I'm thinking on the same lines for my major -- Economics and Mathematic. ROCK! haha. Um.. I MIGHT -- MIGHT -- do the co-op Engineering program at Bates, which leads to Columbia's Fu Foundation school after like two years. Not sure though. But hey, how easy is it to find jobs with a double major in Economics and Math? And also, do you know how the pay is with those majors?

PS: Mellowjello, gimme your contact info; you know like MSN messenger, AIM or Yahoo Messenger. Anyone of those will be fine. Gracias.

supernal_being - that is kinda cool. The co-op Engineering Program shud be good as well (I mean with the likes of Fu Foundation, Dartmouth, WUSTL as its affiliated schools it shud be). But the drawback: it's a five-year thing, and you'll be losing a year. I would suggest getting in touch with a current Bates student who's pursuing the Co-op program.
And don't stress yourself with a how good a job you might get with your major, whatever you choose, you're sure to get a good job (as long as you have "B.A., Bates College" on your resume).

could we post some "sn"s for AIM or email addresses for MSN...it'll be nice to see everyone communicating!

The Engineering program sounds quite nice, yeah. But I am not sure which engineering would appeal to me. I'm thinking Aerospace, but I'm not entirely sure. As for the AIM and MSN, here's my info:
