Does anyone here know when the class of 2011 Princeton supplement will be made available? I believe the '11 common app. is available, but I haven't been able to find the supplement. Hopefully it will be available soon, because I'd like to start on the essays.

Same here.
None of the supplements seem to be ready yet.

The Princeton supplement for the Common application is availbale, though the optional forms and official Princeton application isn't available until August: http://www.princeton.edu/pr/admissions/u/appl/06/index.htm.

good luck and have fun!

it was around a year ago i started writing the essay... got it done a month early too!

feels great having everything in by mid september so you can watch other classmates stressing over apps/lors

Hopefully I'll be done with the essays, etc. by mid-September, but I'm not sending in the application until I can't do any more to help it (esp. EC-wise, community service, varsity sports, etc.).

Wow sorry if I sound really anal but on the 3rd page of the supplement, it says "Pin Number", which is very redundant (Personal Identification Number Number)

Am I the only one that is really annoyed by things like that?

:p

i made a rough draft of my first essay today...needs some work though

I called adcom a few weeks ago and they said Pton's app would be online in "mid -July"... so within the next two weeks it'll be up I guess.

The website with all the forms says August 2006. Which one's better to use? Esp. ED?

Use either... use the common app if you are applying to multiple. it really saves time and helps.

best of luck man

since you're applying to princeton, keep in mind if you get deferred/rejected ed, you could still wind up at yale or harvard.

um ive heard that princeton prefers that applicants use their app, but using the common app is ok still right?

Under rules of the common application, a school is not supposed to prefer one or the other. They are technically supposed to be weighed equally. According to statistics on the Princeton website, 46% of applicants used the online Princeton app, 17% used the paper princeton app, 21% used the online Common app, and the rest used the paper common app. So, if Princeton did indeed accept the way they were supposed to, acceptance rates should be pretty closely in line with those figures (that is, if you find figures for which application people who got accepted used, that will tell you which one is best to use). but if you do paper, write neatly!
