haha i did too! the orientation was cool but pretty long..i registered for all my classes and the awesome thing is i have no classes on fridays! lol and my earliest class is at 8:40am but its only 1 day a week. and the other days i start at 12 or 1. im soo excited for august!

yea i have no friday classes either! Originally i had one, but then i went home and changed it. I actually changed three of my classes, because i looked at professor reviews and i wanted to change a time slot. My earliest time is 9:15 twice a week, nya nya. Just kidding. I hate this stupid ASU 101 class we have to take, totally ruined my credits. Because with it, im taking 16 credits, and i could possibly test out of my math class through AP, so i still had to sign up for it, but if i test out, then i have to drop it, and sign up for whatever classes may be left in july, which there will be very little.

we probably saw eachother and didn't even notice, haha.

So, what classes did you sign up for, and what's your major?

i ended up going with the living and learning community in the college of liberal arts and sciences along with many other people i met in my major. it had most of my schedule already picked out for me, so i didn't have much work to do when picking classes!

haha i think a lot of freshman don't have friday classes!:) i hope you get your math situation all sorted out, it sounds kind of confusing. there where lots of people at orientation, i'm sure we passed each other. we might have even been in the same group at the end of the day. lol i was in owls.

I applied because of the their great offer for NMF (21,000 a year).

I don't have to take eng. first semester because of AP. Pretty nice. All the business students had to do a cohort, where they pick a few classes that they'll have with the same people, so a few of my classes were already picked, like yours. Before I had gone to orientation, though, I had looked at professor reviews, and Im glad I did, because it helped me decide between a few classes. I would recommend that. Just look at the professors you have already, see if they have good reviews, and if any of the classes outside of the ones picked for you seem easy to change to a better professor, definitely do it. And you should tell me how that anthropology class goes, Im considering it as my minor.

I was in maroons, dang!

And forax, nice job on the scholarship, definitely would consider ASU at that point.

christalena
are you sure you have to take the ASU101?When D was in Barretts, she was exempt
leungpy1
D is a very successful Barretts grad (summa cum laud!) if you'd like my perspective on her experience,PM me.

Im pretty sure I have to take it, the barrett's advisor i was talking to didn't say anything about it. However, he did seem rather flustered, and was making lots of mistakes including forgetting to sign my schedule a few times after i had asked. Plus, they had a few academic cohorts that barretts students could take, and ASU 101 was a part of it.

I would love your perspective, that's be great!

My D is seriously considering choosing Barrett if she gets accepted. We're interested in hearing from current students. Are you happy you chose to attend Barrett? Please rate the Profs, classroom size, pros/cons. All posts welcome!

Barrett is getting all new facilities next year so that's great, new dorms, new campus basically.
