believe so yes.

believe me, i would not be doing this right now if it were up to me, but my teachers need all the time they can get, so i guess i can understand that. i hate how i may have to apply to these 9 other schools when all i want is DUKE.

Yeah, and if you get in early, then you get to go to all of them the next day and say "NEVERMIND!!!" haha

Too bad you have to work on Monday. Maybe that's not really the day... I'm really surprised we haven't gotten an email about it yet.

yeah im really hoping this ED works out because I haven't done jack squat on my other apps (well the common app is done)

so its get in and enjoy life
or not get in and hate life for another 3 months

lol we should make a facebook group: "I hope Duke ED works out b/c I'm ****ed on my other apps"

Good luck to all you ED applicants. I remember waiting for RD for ever last year. (And even longer after I was waitlisted) If anyone has any questions you can PM me, or ask here.

Look at it this way, at least you're waiting around for a decision instead of stuck at Duke this week while we're all studying for finals ;)

that'd be funny- a group dedicated to talking about how we haven't done apps yet. prime source of procrastination right there. oh well, if i get all of this recommendation/transcript nonsense out of the way now, all i'll have to do are those essays when the 10th (or so) rolls around! where else are you guys thinking of applying?

im totally game for that facebook group

so xeneise, how did it feel getting in off the waitlist? i have a friend sophmore this year) who went to duke off the waitlist

Oh it was pretty surreal. I was more than excited to be going to Tufts when I got a phone call from Duke admissions right after school in early May. Duke is a pretty sweet place, and I won't even start talking about how much more I love Duke basketball than Tufts basketball, haha.

My list right now is:

Duke ED (i'd say "duh" in these parenthesis...but that'd be predictable...so I'll say something else...CARE BEARS!!)
Tufts
Vanderbilt
Dartmouth
Emory
UPenn
Georgetown Maybe
BC

That's a good list. you'll have some good options if it isn't duke.

Aww I wish I could apply to Georgetown but I live like 5 minutes away! Totally takes away from the college experience. I'm applying to Vanderbilt, too...well, hopefully neither of us will actually end up applying!

my list:

Duke ED
Dartmouth
Northwestern
Princeton
Rice
University of Texas

my sister currently attends duke, brother is alumn of dartmouth so those are my 2 top respectively.

I guess I should share my list, too, since I asked.

It's really long :(

what's at 6?

i got my letter too

decision comes out on the 10th at 6 pm EST (im assuming its eastern)

My list is:

Duke ED

I'm screwed if I don't get in on Monday. I really don't like any other schools! We'll have to exchange AIM screennames before Monday, too.

My list is:

Duke ED
Georgetown
UVA
Colgate
