I’m confused as to why people are self-studying APs senior year, am I missing something? Colleges won’t see your scores until after admissions are done and they don’t go down on your actual transcript, so what good are they really?

^If you do good on the test you can get college credit…

AP Calc AB
AP Physics C: Mechanics

Life is good. I want to be a Spanish teacher, so there’s no reason to take AP Calculus or AP Physics, but this year I did take AP Chemistry which sucked, and tomorrow I’m going to bomb the exam.

Dang, some schools have crazy cool elective! Green tech? Yoga? So jealous.
I’m taking:
AP gov/honors econ.
AP lit.
AP Spanish language.
AP Physics
Co-teacher for apes. I’m planning on going into.environmental law so yeah ha.

Plus calculus and linear algebra at cc. My school doesn’t offer anything past calc one -_-

AP Physics C
AP Calculus
AP Computer Science AB (Second year of CS)
AP Economics
English
Sculpting (I need art credit)

You know the AB Exam doesn’t exist anymore, right?

Really, your school should change the name to Data Structures in Computer Science.

Multivariable Calculus with Linear Algebra

It shows up in the transcript as the regular AP class. It is not an “official” class. My teacher just teaches the materials as if it was another class, but it usually is TAing the other students really. Most likely, I will be programming robot stuff like the whole year.

Guys, these AP overload schedules you have…you guys do realize this is your senior course load right? Do you guys want to spend your last year in high school stressed out about your 5 APs, college apps, scholarship apps, summer program apps, and ECs? Again, it’s your LAST year as a minor. Enjoy your life!!! Don’t over stress yourself with such heavy course loads. Even if you are incredibly smart, APs still are pretty time consuming. You can keep learning for the rest of your life so space out your course load…

Anyways this is my schedule for next year:
AP Stats
AP Physics
AP Econ
AP Spanish
Women’s Lit or Mythology Lit
Music.

I might substitute AP Spanish with AP Psych if I get infected with senioritis this summer.

AP Macro
AP Micro
AP Stats
AP Gov
AP Lit
AP Lang
Honors Spanish V
Honors French V
Honors Speech
Honors Soc
Andddd Chinese I (first year school is offering Chinese, and I’m interested!)

^^^ You are a very brave man, sir.

…11 classes…

Please tell me something is either online or self-studied.

Ugh, I’m so jelly of you guys ): Your school offers so many AP’s. Mine… PFFT. LOL. And some of you guys are taking insane classes, I hope you can handle them and senior year at the same time!

AP Lit
PreCal
French 3
AP World History or Spanish 1 or Psychology (idk yet)
AP Econ/Gov
Student Gov

AP Us. History
AP Government
AP Calc AB(going to self study BC part though, since our school doesn’t offer it)
Honor’s Physics(again no ap version)
AP Literature
Early Childhood Education
Programming course at community college.

Please tell me there’s someone out there who actually wants free time to enjoy senior year! Stress only leaves you sleepless nights and bags under your eyes in your senior portraits… ):
Anyway, my schedule consists of:

Ap Lit
Ap Calc
Biochemistry/Cell Biology or Ap Psych, depends on which is available in the morning
Medical Careers DP
Medical Career Science DP
Internship (medical)
[The above three are part of a really cool program partnered with a local CC that qualifies you as a certified nursing assistant.]

First semester I will probably continue my internship (and hopefully I can get academic credit, I’m researching neuron development…), and second semester I might take a chem class at CC, but if senioritis kicks in… ehh.

P.S I’m not slacking in the AP department, I’ll be done with 9 as of next week! Thank God. -.-

Yes, I don’t understand how it’s possible for someone to have 6 APs and 5 honors courses during 1 year. =O Must be very hard working.
