Class of 2012, TOP school & academic profile?

MIT-- i could do that if i take fopo… but i dont wanna =/

lol.

I’m like split between going into Foreign politics or going on my quest to be the greatest Black Mathematician and Computer Scientist ever.

@CPU: Yeah, kind of.

Here’s mine:

Stanford - Reach
USC - Match
Vandy - Match
Auburn - Safety
Loyola Marymount - Safety
Chapman - Low Match/Safety
CSULB - Safety x100. Mom’s making me apply so I can “reconnect with my family”

As long as I don’t completely bomb the ACT, I’m good.

MIThopeful… maybe we can share that title :D

marine- thanks for ranking… nobody has ever helped =/

^^ LOL.

Avoiding Memphis I see.
Don’t want to get shot up in Orange Mound, Central Station,

or anywhere by the campus.

^ Yes. We can share the title.

LOL I hate Memphis. That’s like… my last damn resort.
Ghetto-ass campus with racist police and crime-ridden housing.
And let’s not forget their football team.

^
I’m sorry, but that whole comment made me laugh. lolz >.<
You make the place seem like it came from the gates of hell.

Haha, as it should have.
MIT knows exactly what I’m talking about when I say I hate Memphis (the city, and the college)

It kind of is, but I think my situation justifies. I need pretty much full financial aid, and the only schools with good financial aid are reaches, so I need to apply to several of them.

I also have an interesting situation with my class rank and course rigor. My rank is either 2nd or 3rd out of 21. If it’s 3rd, that puts me outside the top 10%, which I think is a knock on me.

I’d just rather apply to too many than not enough.

I would be absolutely ecstatic to get into one of Pomona, Middlebury, or Amherst.

8 is JUST RIGHT. in my opinion. i have 10 lol.

Seeing as how my mom went there… Every thing that happened… I sure as hell ain’t going to the school my mom went to.

I see higher places for myself.

me too^^

ahh officially signed up for the ACT… at yale :D

I gotta sign up for that.

I gotta busy time.

I gotta sign up for my AP tests.
Damn, I hate irresponsible counselors.

Blackrose- I saw the comment you posted about my college binder just now from yesterday lol.
It’s a binder with a different section for each college on important stuff (tuition, major, etc) of course Rutgers has a million pages lol. Their website is just really good, I put together my own info packet & printed it

MIT^ im nervous. Have you taken it?

Marine-- don’t mention those :frowning: not to mention subject tests. All this college prep costs a lot of money lol. I’m going to pay maybe $500 for applying… Maybe more.

I took the ACT sophomore year w/o writing and got a 30.

I want a 36 w/writing this time.

Ugh… and I have to sign up for the subject tests.
Not worried about US History… but Chem, I’m worried about.

Hopefully I do okay on them (650+) and the ACT.

ACT goal is 30, since there’s that whole “Add 4 points to the ACT score if you’re black” thing I’ve been hearing.

MIT-- i’m shooting for 33 w/ writing

marine-- elaborate on the last part???

Gotta love AA.
