Class of 2012, TOP school & academic profile?

I’m jealous of all the kids that have access to AP classes (although not jealous enough to self study hahaha)
There’s only one AP class offered at our high school.
Our ranking system is really dumb, too.

^ I know exactly what you mean.
We only have 5 AP classes.

BCB1993, i hear that… more power to them haha. we have… 9… and i’m taking 7 of them (not bio or chem)

I wish we didn’t have so many! So I wouldn’t have to take them all

My school has 0 Ap’s but 15 I.B. courses. ^__^

Our IB Courses… lol

IB Vis. Art SL

24 IB classes… They used to offer over 30.
Along with 2 APs… one of which IB sophomores are required to take.
AP Comparative Gov’t
AP US Gov’t

We used to have AP Stats.

Our IB classes:

15 IB classes.
And 5 AP classes. We just dropped AP Lit because the English teacher said she “got too stressed”, having to teach AP Lit & IB English 4.

lol… ours is like the biggest or 2nd biggest IB program in Virginia.

I wanted IB Physics HL… but we can’t have it. We have a lack of SL courses…

Okay here are mine, with stars next to what I take

HL Physics

TOK*
I.B. phys ed class (I.B. kids mostly, except for two exceptions)*

and we have something kinda like an EE class* where our I.B. cord. talks to us about due dates, what to do, how to prep, work ethic etc, but it’s during our TOK classes (which I just started 2nd semester and I hate them -___-)

One of the three or four IB schools in my state.
And i’m the first I.B. class hooray!!! I’m an experiment. smh

I wish I could learn Japanese, It would sharpen some of my Asian skills.

No one’s ballsy enough to teach HL Physics. I hate how it’s not Calc-Based though.

However, that said… I would easily take if given HL Physics as an option

Math HL
Physics HL
Chem HL
Computer Science HL
Spanish SL
Human Geography SL
English HL

Screw the diploma at that point.

^
the one at my school is not calc based either.

I wish we had IB

lolz everyone does. haha
But it’s a long hard process for a school to be even accepted as an I.B. school, it’s a selective process. There are only a few I.B. schools out of all the schools we have in our world.

Have you started looking at colleges yet, like have you visited? Talked to prof’s etc?

Wow.

My school is IB too, but we barely have enough classes for a person to get Diploma.

IB History of the Americas HL
IB Physics SL
IB English HL
IB Math Studies SL
IB Biology HL
IB Spanish SL
IB French SL (they’ll be discontinuing that, my class will be the second to last class to do it)

My schedule? All of them except for Spanish. No choice whatsoever.

I’m either going to St. Louis for FTC worlds or going on a college expedition.

Ive visited MIT, Yale, MHC, and RPI. I’m going to visit Spelman, Smith, Columbia, Wellesley, and Howard.

@Isurus: Damn. Your school doesn’t offer IB Mathematics?

lolz i’ve olny visited two.

 1. was NEU (Perfection ^_^)
 2. Umass Amherst, but It was not a real tour I just stayed there with a friend for half a day, but the NEU one was a real all day event.
 3. Harvard (It was beautiful, but the classrooms were u-g-l-y.)

i’m going to visit all the Umass’s, Boston College, Boston University,Syrracuse University and maybe NYU.

im thinking about BU too. and i wanna visit NEU  my friend goes there he loves it

Only school I’ve visited so far = Vanderbilt, since it’s so close.
My parents loved it; even though it was raining, Vandy was still gorgeous.

Visiting USC in March for Spring Break.
