<p>I have 2 safeties because I’ll probably go to the one offering the most FA.</p>

<p>I am hoping to narrow this down to 5 colleges: 2 reach, 2 middle, 1 safety. That being said, I am still looking into colleges to see which one might be my perfect match. I’m so aprehensive!</p>

<p>the number of safeties you need is probably dependent on exactly how safe those safeties are.</p>
<p>And on how much FA you need.</p>
<p>I’ve got 2-3 legitimate safeties, 2-3 reaches, and about 6 matches. I’ll probably narrow the matches down to about 4 or 5</p>
<p>At first I was rolling with the 2:3:2 ratio but I kind of threw that out the window.</p>
<p>I have 5 schools on my list now. All of them are more or less academic matches, but financially…a mix of reaches and matches. It’s $$$ that’s the big issue for me.</p>
<p>Also, for a lot of my matches, I’m in the range, just I’m calling them matches because of how selective they are.</p>
<p>Am I the only one who actually prefers my safety to all my reach schools? Hahaha, I much rather end up there than at Duke which is one of the reaches I have in mind.</p>

<p>One of each of my reaches and matches use the same application, and one of my safety schools is waiving their application fee for me. Surprisingly, my dream school (where I’ll be applying ED) is actually a match school, not a reach school. =P</p>
