Class of 2014- 1 Year Left

Juniors, how does it feel knowing that this time next year all of your college apps will be done or (if you are a serious procrastinator) almost done? Doesn't freshman year feel like yesterday?

Haha yea it’s so scary. Because I need to increase my GPA by a lot and don’t have a lot of time. In addition to that I can’t get the score I want on the tests which makes me sad

You can definitely get your scores up! If you’re talking SAT’s start studying now and take them in March.

Yea that what I am planning to do but the last time I only got a 1810 even after studying for a long time

It’s crazy to think about really. Next year I’ll be done with college apps. Freshman year does seem like yesterday. I remember meeting my friends, omg the nostalgia. :’(

@Poppykid If you need help for writing and reading, I would try reading through the McGraw Hill 50 skills for a top score SAT CR and W. A lot of people on here go from an 1800 to a 2000+, it just takes dedication.

@TinnyT I know, I wish I was a little freshman again

If you go to the collegeboard website, you can subscribe for an SAT question of the day sent to your email. Good luck and finish this year strong!!

2013 is gonna be hell! SATs, SAT IIs, APs, college apps… I already can’t wait for it to be over. But 2014 will bring college, and all the hard work will pay off. :)

Yea, but I am looking forward to college though!

I’m so not ready for college, I have about three colleges in mind that I would like to go to, but I still have to take the SAT and about 2 SAT II tests.

I, can, not, wait! I’ve been waiting forever to finally go out into the real world and possibly go out of state, I really want to raise my SAT scores though, didn’t do such a good job this year -___-

I can’t even grasp that I’m going to be 17 in less than 3 months.

I feel like freshman year was 500 years ago. I don’t know why. Sophomore year was like yesterday, but I have almost zero memories from freshman year. All I know is that I didn’t know anything about anything and I ate a lot of spaghetti and I got a B in a gym class.
At this point, I just want the college admissions process to be over with. I’m tired of worrying over it. I’d even go to OSU if it meant no stress getting in.

I was just considering this the other day. It’s scary to think that I’ll have my SCEA decision this time next year.

But I get to experience application anxiety early with summer program apps! Yay!

Oh god that’s scary. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I really am looking forward to going to college and branching out. It’s just I finally feel like I somewhat fit in at school, and now next year it’ll be over.

I am happy and sad at the same time. I hate knowing that I can’t afford to mess up, and am at the point where a 94 is concerning because if I fail one test it will become a B. At the same time I am happy because this year is the first time I had any control over my schedule.
Standardized testing is killing me, I am better at things like writing a 15 page research paper then taking a standardized test. I got a 179 on my PSAT, and need at least a 2000, if not a 2100 for where I am applying.
Hopefully I will get into my dream school ED and be done at this point.

^ Artsygirl, same. I have anxiety problems when taking important tests.
