illuvia:con:fuego:The scores were okay by cc standards.

yesto rey… at villanova even if you get rejected for early action your application would be looked at after couple of months as a regular application… with one single application you have two oppurtunities for financial aid at that univ…

anyone have any idea abt carleton, haverford and gettysburg? All these are unfamiliar names so i’ve not immediately removed them from my list. And of course, the information is limited…so anyone who can help?

Thanks

Thanx for the responses…and congrats CCPROFILE!

@stag,
carleton, haverford and gettysburg are really good colleges. As far as i know nobody got into gettysburg last year so you can picture the competition. Nowadays, small LACs are getting competitive than ever.

@ccprofile where was your TOEFL centre? USEF?
@lluvia:con:fuego werent you a 2013 er?

chuney khadka, almost any EA college/uni shifts you to RD consideration if not accepted in first round. But there are very few exceptions. I am really confused whther to do SCEA or try EA in many…

@gurung: My toefl centre was NIEC.

Were you banned the last time? Just curious.

lluvia:con:fuego, I occasionally go to USEF for subject test practice coz I have ample resources on SAT.

Well guyz, can we make this clear about our alma maters. Which college/school are you from? I am from Malpi.

hey i heard TOEFLs can be waved in many colleges…is that true?

yes, but they have thresholds for that. Last year my friend applied to 28 colleges, where he was waived from TOEFL and subject tests. But his score was 2230 on SATs
.

also reply to 287 thread.

and if it’s true…how to do so?? i mean what to say to the collges??

oh toefl can be waved if SAT score is great???

the toefl is waved in amherst if you score above 700 in CR. i don’t know abt the others very well, but in colleges of lower stature, the CR score needed is well below that. 650 would probably waive the toefl requirements in many.
