has anyone started wid their app essay… im not sure how to start… i tend to procastinate… writing 2-3 essays is way out of question, i cant even think of 1…

@donod.

thread is getting more n more serious (boredom entails).

i have given SAT 2. I did pretty well. I’m satisfied with what i got. How much did you get on your first try? i think if you give the sciences(phy and chem, i don’t know abt bio) you’ll do better (Since a lot of the A level course matches with the SAT course.)

but if you didn’t do good in the sciences in the first try. i advise you to practice more this time. (time your practices)

@Duke99

first time was horrible, wasnt prepared at all… didnt know how many questions r there in each subject… just gave it for the sake of it… gave mathsII, chem and phy… n my calculator betrayed me in mathsII… so it was a horrible experience… hope i’ll do better this time around…

am thinkin of givin bio, mathsII this time… but havent decided btw chem and phy…

which subs did u give?? if u gave bio, which one did u give e/m… which is easier to score… did u do A levels by the way…

@donod

yeah i did A levels. And no i didn’t give bio. I don’t know sh** abt bio. coz i didn’t take bio in a levels. Give physics, it’s easier to score. i also gave Chem and maths level 1

@Duke99

so… how was ur A level… do u mind sharing ur grades, u can PM me… n have u given ur SAt1, how did u do…

@donod
check ur inbox

yeah sure…

any1 done wid thier essays… cant think wat to write…

nop… still brainstorming for topic… dun know how do i start…

I am also pondering about the same thing…app. essay. Well I had written one while in A1 and at that time I thought it to be great.
Now when I go through it I feel to be one of the worst essays ever to be written.

So the point is whatever we write it should always we reviewed and re-reviewed. In his case first impression can’t be the last impression. Every candidate wishing to apply for this fall semester should have started with their essays at least four or five months in advance or else an imminent essay shall have many flaws…if not grammatical but flaws regarding topic,ideas,expression and the overall content.

so do u mean by now our essays shud be ready… god first i have to think of a topic than write… lots of work…

hope u guys get ur topics soon… ALL DA BEST…

it’s high time to get started then

Hey guys, is it a good idea to apply bowdoin ed?

^^
u can apply to Bowdoin if u wanna waste ur ED.

If anyone needs any sort of help about college info and other, PM me or directly post here.

Who r from BNKS? I know duke, jhaple(i guess) and who else??

yeah BNKS speak up!

@Schofield: I’m just a bit curious.Why so? Is it because of insufficient FA or do they just not accept students at all?

@duke
If u r a boy, u got who i am right? So, i also need to know your true ID.

@cc
Bowdoin is as selective as Princeton in admitting internationals. In addition, very^100 limited aid for internationals…though it says SAT optional, dont apply unless u have 1500+ composite Cr and maths score. If u have 1500, there is high probability to get in Amherst, but still the chance to get in Bowdoin is minimal.

Any more queries?

@everyone
Its time to get almost ready with college list. And make urself ready with the P. Essay too.

I am in dilemma to apply which college for ed and plz suggest to apply which college if mine grades are well

1 oberlin college
2 bowdoin college
3 swarthmore college

^^
i prefer none of three. However, i would have choosen Swarthmore among the available options…but check it out if swarthmore has ED. Go for Colby instead.

This year, what i guess is EDers to Trinity College, Lafayette, Mt Holyoke, Williams, Colgate, Reed will be high in number…

And, if anyone has excellent academics, good ECAs, perfect SAT subject tests, but average SAT (below 1320/1950) he should go for ivy instead of the liberal arts, as these liberal arts seek for candidates with good SAT.
