Class of 2015 Admissions Results:

dbwes your absolutely correct - the new rankings are up for both Marquette and SLU - SLU jumped to 86, while Marquette made a huge jump to 75. Thanks for bringing that to my attention!! Both schools are on the climb!

I stand corrected.
erp1821: Congratulations to you and good luck on all your future endeavors. Same goes for everyone else.

@IZZY4COLLEGE - good luck in all your future endeavors, too!!!

sophistry – i got waitlisted too. if you would like to still be considered for admission to Marquette, you should ad your name to the list on the website. I did. If you are accepted. you DO NOT have to attend. you will still have the option to go wherever you’d like. However if you do not add your name to the list, they will no longer consider you for admission and you application will be terminated. hope this helps! good luck! :]

Yeah, it helps a lot. Thanks. I added my name.
P.S. I’m from PA too. :D

Decision: Accepted

To add to the MU vs. SLU discussion above: MU’s basketball makes it more nationally recognized, which can be invaluable for grad school/job placement. SLU, on the other hand, has its own med school, so depending on your career goals, that could make up for its lower rank.

Those of you waitlisted, definitely add your name to the list. Lots of kids who really, really want to go to Marquette have to withdraw in the end because of finances. If you’re likely to get need based aid, you will probably fare better than the scholarship/merit kids who don’t qualify for need based aid. Good luck to all of you on your college decisions, and I know you’ll all do great wherever you end up!

thank you for the info montegut. that is good to know.

I really do wish you all the best, 201126, sophistry, and any others on the waitlist.

My son did a research project one summer with a boy who got waitlisted for Tulane, our local private, and in the end, he not only got into Tulane, but got a full need/merit scholarship. I don’t want to get your hopes up, but I also don’t want you to despair. Remember, no matter where you end up, you will do great. Just keep believing in yourself!
