Hey. Do you know anything about the Pre-Dental Scholars Program. Any information/statistics would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Can’t wait until I get my decision.

No mail in Madison, WI.

Nothing in the NW suburbs of Chicago.:(

awww, i am even more anxious now

My son’s acceptance arrived today. It was a good day; he also received a second college’s packet as well. Mail from Milwaukee always arrives here within a day, so I am sure you will all get something soon.

I was accepted today!! Two of my friends did too!

Congrats with your acceptances! I remember the anxiety of waiting for those envelopes, and am so happy for those who have/will receive acceptances. S is very happy at MU.

nothing here in Pittsburgh yet…

19,000 apps? Can that be right? For how many spots? 2500 or so?

Yes. I checked last week. More than 19,000 applications for between 1850 and 1925 incoming freshmen.

If memory serves me right, when the Marquette rep came to our high school, the figures were: 19,000 applications, of which they accept 11,000+, to fill approximately 1900+ freshman student spots.

For many, including us, the cost is a prime factor in whether my son will actually attend.

Thanks, orangebeach. That makes sense. And this number (1900 of 11,000) is the elusive yield number that gives admissions people fits, right? How can you plan when you don’t know how many will accept?

I feel much better about my son’s odds being 11:19 than I do 19:190!!

And like you and most of us here, the real news comes next month when FA is sent out. Admission is just one hurdle, and not the big one.

Son received his acceptance packet today! Also from Lawrence! Exciting!

got my acceptance in MI today!

does the dean usually write something on the acceptance letter?
or it usually just the letter without any writing?

got my acceptance today in MI! it was nice they had a personal note, mine mentioned that they were impressed with my participation in sports

Son got the letter accepting him today. Haven’t seen it, as I’m at work. We’re in Mpls, MN.

D2’s came today, also. :)
