Thanks Dufour - Mine says nothing about fin aid…guess I’m out of luck in that category.

I’m not sure of the process exactly because I have not done it myself. However, from what i’ve gathered from friends undergoing the process, it involves showing the college your current grades, maybe some letters of rec, etc. Although, what I mentioned there is only what I overheard. I do not know if that was required or extra stuff they wanted to show the school. Calling the admissions office to find out how to go about appealing would certainly be the best thing to do first. My friend appealing to USC said usually 8% of those who appeal (atleast to this particular school) get accepted so there is certainly a possibility still for acceptance. And, though 8% may seem low, keep in mind you’re against a lot less competition because not many kids who were rejected will appeal. The pool of competition is quite smaller. The percentage of kids appealing to Connecticut College that get accepted may very well be different from 8%, but I hope my estimate gives you an idea.

Hope some of this helped.

Does Connecticut College even allow appeals?

has anybody heard about transfer decisions or doy ou know when they will reply?

I thought it would be interesting to compare admitted stats from last year to this year. Here’s last year:

This year: [Connecticut College: Admission Statistics](http://www.conncoll.edu/admission/11187.htm)

Things to note:

 1. The stats change once they release enrolled students stats.
 2. They had a decrease in apps, raising their acceptance rate.

Just got my acceptance letter in the mail today! The Dean of Admissions hand-wrote a three-sentence note at the bottom. Should I feel honored, or does she does this for all/most/a lot of accepted students? Whatever; i’m happy! I basically got a full ride on financial aid, with only ~$6000 in loans. Good news! Now the question is, ConnColl or Brandeis? I have a lot of thinking to do.

I got a message on the bottom too :)

I got a small note. It seems like everyone gets one, although writing it for 1,700+ admits seems kind of tedious.

Dedede,

I’m also making the decision between Brandeis and Conncollege, they both are pretty different schools with their own advantages. Which way are you leaning?
