mmmmmmmmmmm

I want some serious help…If I am to prepare an application packet, what do I need to include of bank materials except for others???Balance certificate is what I know till now…

@hendrix7
As far as I know it depends according to the universities.State univ will ask you just to get the bank balance(mostly but in some cases the certificate of finance too) and for the top colleges I may not have to tell you.
They require
1.certificate of finance (including bank balance I suppose but I am not sure)
2.income statement(coz most of us here don’t have to pay the tax)
3.non-custodial parent’s income statement(if applicable)
4.business earning(if applicable)

whats the difference betw css/isfaa n those paper then?

I doubt if the colleges ever ask you for the bank statement. You should submit the Bank Certificate, not the Bank Statement. Bank statement is required only when you apply for VISA. Regarding the Certificate of Finances, most of the colleges ask you to submit it along with your application, while some of them require you to submit it only after you get enrolled (i.e. after you submit the deposit). We should attach the attested copy of the Bank Certificate with the ISFAA. If the college doesn’t require you to fill in the ISFAA just send the Bank Certificate. Income Statement is a must and you have to fill in the non- custodial parent’s income statement, only if your parents are dead or some other person is investing in your education. We do not have to submit the business earning.

@Prasadian

Colleges require you to submit either the CSS or the ISFAA. Along with one of these documents, the colleges need some verification for your finances. So you need to submit the Bank Certificate, COF and the income statement for the verification.

Hope everything is clear!

@Morrison
You rock bro…Thanks for the info…Now a part of the application packet gets clear to be worked on…

just adding on what morrison said. CSS Profile / ISFAA are forms where you fill out objective data (For eg: Family Savings, Father’s Income, Mother’s Income e.t.c) while the documents like bank balance and income-certificates are official documents to prove what you state in your CSS Profile/ ISFAA

@Rocker #943
The top univs generally are somewhat need blind so you dont need to show any kind of bank document… you just need to supply them with the CSS or ISFAA as far as I heard but regarding state and those not so good univ you need to show you can pay their cost in your bank balance showing at least the COA thats it nothing more… don’t worry everything is written in the application form as you read them…

hey guys this is completely off topic bt i need to know
have u made ur passport for your sat exams???or r u still waiting for the new type of passport to come???

@metallica999
I’ve not ordered for the current passport, yet…And the MRP passport issue is yet to be finalized (still some procedures not completed) suggesting us to keep on going with the present passport. So I’ve decided to get the current passport. However, when MRP’s on the sight, I’m gonna grab it quickly…

i made mine when i had a week left for my sat …it depends when ur xams r on n when the mrp r due to come out
TODAY,
bullsh+t!!! my toefl xam got postponed …some connection prob betw the center n ets…furthmore, the center is ets authorised center, cant ask for more . center only broke the news out when we already had waited 3-4hrs!!not so gud when its pouring… :(

@metallica : I would suggest you not to wait for MRP. I am sure you are reading the news. Apparently our foreign-minister (albeit a temporary one) sujata koirala has refused to sign on the designs and the process has stalled. Even after signing on the design, the first consignment is supposed to arrive within 70 days. You can imagine the queue and time it would take to get a new passport. If sujata koirala has her way, then the whole deal will canceled and started again, pushin our chances of getting a MRP to a long long time away.

^^^I got it long ago…But will suggest you guys to get the current passport because the new passport ain’t going to come any soon…

@prasadina
******** yaar…Mine got started about an hour late…They even could not inform us about the late starting…It too did not go that well just fine:(.

thank you frens for ur comments,…iv got to get mine now…soon…
@prasadian…its so sad to hear tht… so when has it been postponed???u must b really angry…

well, abt the date …ets has been really generous to let us choose a venue n date (even aug 28, n i’ll probably take it) on our own terms with no added expenses…still abit ****ed…
