Class of 2015 from Nepal

Lets make this thread active from today frens!!!

This seems a bit too early
lol… early birds eh?

I have high expectations from all those here :D

Its good guys you have started quite early… But its good to be early and know a lot than to know everything late and miss everything

@Incognito_leo …Thank you for ur suggestion…we are expecting the same from all our seniors …

instead of being messed up in the end…why dont we give a few mins in healthy discussions ???

lol At first I thought it was a typo but I guess I was wrong.
So best of luck for the whole process. :D

LOL…odds are that i’ll be joining u guyz…my stats make me really hopeless for 014

The guy who started this must be from Rato Bangla or BNKS. Gud Gud. But this has happened to me. U keep up the beat but get lost in between. Why don’t you try 2010 fall with expected grades?

@gurung…your’e absolutley wrong bro…this thread was started by someone from goldengate

i mean it is started by someone from goldengate…;)

Oh, so you seem to be a trendsetter. that’s good, but don’t loose your pace and never limit it just as a fad.

i hope that this thread will last as long as those of the past years!!!

Class of 2015! Count me in!

Isn’t this a little premature?

So can u suggest me abt methods to begin SAT prepn. classes?

TRY Barrons for Ideas and logics for solving maths, reading the vocabularies and try PR and College board’s for practice… ANd yes Practice Practice Practice

Just read a lot of books. Stop looking for an easy way out.

so finally exams are over and we’ve a month of holidays!!! i want some really good suggestions from our dear seniors… What do u guys suggest us, to utilize the holidays to the fullest ???volunteering???SAT prepns???Extra activities???

Extracurriculars are extremely vital during this period (Read some CHANCE ME and Extracurriculars Threads from College Confidential…it’ll inspire you) . I think you should have focussed on it from the beginning of your 11 grade (or equivalent). Try to intiate projects on your own. take part in science exhibitions, DO something that radiates leadership skill, get involved in your community services, try to gain admission into international events hoisted by embassies and consltates, do journalism (if youre good at it)…there are so many options out there…just do something that showns your passion and enthusiasm for your work… most importantly its the quality and not the quantity that counts. This is why I say counselling at schools is necessary to make these students aware about the aspects of applying from their junior year (Like in Rato Bangla).
Hey, I just want to mention things I regretted not doing it in my year and its very important.
Try to give your SAT I well before your 12 (equivalent) grade/exams coz if you don’t, a condition may arrive when you would apply to colleges and give your SATs simultaneously. This not only deters your stand on which college to apply (coz by then you wont have your SAT scores to gauge which college… that parallels with your score). So, you need to aim and get 2100^ (or a great composite score before you apply (i.e. before Oct-Nov) . Give your SATII when you are fresh with what you have learnt in yur subjects … co z later it wuld be hard to focus and recall all those subjective matter you learnt in your high school. TOEFL wn’t be much of a problem, give it whenever you feel like giving it.

unforunately being a +2 student it is exteremly hard to improve extracurriculars!!..we donot have any sort of exhibitions or competitions…no clubs…nothing…though, i am involved in some of the youth organizations and im volunteering there!!!i have a great experience from my school…didnt miss a single activitiy…and im leading an youth organization!!!hope it help me a lot…but still i donot have a single certificates or anything after SLC…so this really makes me tensed…there is a huge competition in the market and i think im lagged behind…but im considering a major in EECS so im looking forward to join some computer realted organizations…if u guys know please share it with me…regardin SAT 1 im takin it before 12 boards!!!and does SAT (subject tests) includes something from HSEB course???ive no idea…“Give your SATII when you are fresh with what you have learnt in yur subjects”…when?? could u specify the best time???thnx grg bro and u all for ur golden suggestions!!!
