Class of 2016 Brown RD Applicants

7 pm for me in the west too.

hi, new member! the person who wrote one of my letters of rec received a thank you note from an adm officer. she said she has never received a thank you and was surprised. think this means anything? anyone else had this happen?

daylight, you seriously made my day by posting that Hunger Games reference. I find out at 6 PM on Thursday…Super nervous because Brown is my #1!

Does anybody here ever get that feeling a month before wanting to just know already, but then as the date becomes extremely close doesn’t really want to know…I got this with SAT scores too.

@ Darkfireguitar, I feel like that too. I just know in the back of my mind that I’ll most likely be distraught once decisions come out, so a part of me doesn’t even want to know right now. That said, I am still quite antsy to find out just so I don’t have to wait for something any longer.

^^ yup, I had that feeling throughout the week. I really don’t want to think about it because I’ll begin to worry, so I’m just trying to stay positive now.

Totally, just rip of the bandaid already!

^^^^ yes! I know how all of u feel! it’s like the pregnant ladies on their last month and they just want their baby put already… yeah weird reference but oh so true! I just wanna know but at the same time I don’t.

I just want to know.
More accurately, I just don’t want to have to worry or fret anymore.

Amen to that! I have been thinking about admissions all month and now it’s only 4 days away and I am totally freaking out! Lol I hope I don’t see I huge “REJECTED” when I click to check my status.

^ no, it’s the word “Unfortunately…”

I am in that limbo state of not wanting to put too much hope into brown but REALLY wanting to get in… I have an okay back-up which means I won’t be AS devastated. Can we all just get in… :(

I remember reading somewhere that deferred students have the same acceptance rate (8%), but instead of the entire pool, they get judged by the other kids who got deferred. Is this true?

^ They get judged BY other deferred students? Did you mean to say their applications are only compared to those of other deferred students? I wouldn’t know, but it seems unlikely.

The whole reason why people are deferred at ANY college is to be compared with the whole RD pool

so is anyone going crazy like me !

if you are! messge me … it’s always comforting to know I’m not alone and it keeps me from driving myself insane

@chillikeyboard I’ve been slowly going crazy for the past week. You’re not alone!

already am crazy lol past two weeks have sucked

Did anyone else not receive any email about what time their application decision would be posted?
