Just a letter, I think. Unfortunately. Makes the waiting so much worse.

Killing me!

Where did everyone else apply? Has anyone else held back submitting applications until they find out?

I also applied to UNC-Chapel Hill. They don’t notify until late January, but I find out if I’ve been referred for one of their scholarships by December 16th. Based on that and Georgetown, I’ll decide where I’m applying RD.

Wait, I thought Georgetown posts the decision on the website at 5 pm? Is there some truth to this or did I just make that up?

No Georgetown doesn’t post decisions on their website. They snail mail domestic applicants and email international applicants.

The fact that the Georgetown letters all come in the same size envelope is going to be so nerve-racking… :D

IKR? does anyone know when the midwest got their decision letters last year? specifically mn??

aaaahhhh!
so nervous!

I have applied to 4 colleges including Georgetown…two of them are DC Schools-Catholic U of America and American University.

Hey all! I’m a freshman at Georgetown this year, from MN. I applied early action last year and received my letter on the 14th, and people began hearing as early as the 11th. Good luck to everyone! Hoya saxa!

@awildrose: thank you! so does that mean i may potentially find out a day earlier??? haha
what kills me is that they probably have made most (if not all!) of their decisions already of who to accept and who to not accept… and we have to wait for the dang mail to come!

Do any of you guys get a “i’m going to get in, no problem” feeling to “Oh dang, I have no chance” feeling? I feel so bipolar lol!!

cuddlemecozy I feel the exact same way!!

Hi, I’m new to this discussion.
@cuddlemecozy: Yes, I have the exact same bipolar like feelings :S
all day everyday.
I am also applying EA to SFS.
I’m from Kansas I only got a 29 on the ACT
however if you superscore I received a 31
My “hook” is the fact that I was a yearlong exchange
student to Japan my sophomore year and I’m pretty dang
proud of my essays. So here’s hoping. only 8 days!!

Kansas is also a semi-hook. Good luck! My parents just told me that if I get in, they’ll leave for the weekend and I can have a huge unsupervised party haha. Now all my friends are hoping just as much as I am lol.

Ya Kansas is helpful but I have friends who are also applying and are amazing, so we will see. And unsupervised party!!?~~ very generous parents :D

@cuddle - completely! I go from being on top of the world, “Lala… I’m going to get in” to “I’m not getting in, I’ll never amount to anything, my life is over” feelings.

A bit melodramatic yes, but the waiting process isn’t helped with finals next week…

Stress + more stress = melodramatic college applicant

@eb9811: i’m in the same situation! i have finals next week too… and idk how im going to concentrate/study/do well when i know that i could receive the letter any day next week… AHHHHHH

@babysting, uncharacteristically generous, believe me! They are the last people I would ever expect to do this. But I’m not questioning it!

@saman42, you might consider getting the agreement on tape. You know just in case~ It’d be a social upset if you got accepted and no unsupervised party came about!

So true. I’ll ask again tonight just to make sure and I’ll have my iPhone on voice record. Good call.

Just got an email about phone calling to accepted students, next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday! The wait shall soon be over! Good luck everyone.
