*Official EA Thread Class of 2016*

Feel free to vent, and chat about Northeastern here. :)
The decisions will be coming out within a month (or so I've heard). I'm so excited >.< !!!

Posting up this thread already huh…it’s probably less than a month though, assuming that the decisions come out around mid december, even though admissions say by dec 31st.

Anyways, good luck to all.

I’m excited too! Any idea what you want to major in?

I applied for the journalism program. :)

What about you?

@WarmGesture, thanks.

Good luck! Is Northeastern your first choice? I was so resistant to even looking there at first because it’s usually five years, but I ended up looking and absolutely loved it. I applied for nursing! Nursing programs are so hard to get into…fingers crossed  I feel like everyone in my graduating class is applying!

Doesn’t have to be 5 years if you choose not to stay for 5 years, but the bright side is that you pay the same 4 years of tuition, so why not get more time in college for your money? Anyways, I applied EA for the pharm d. program. :P

@WarmGesture - Exact conclusion that I came to  I was just resistant at first to the idea, but once I actually looked at the program and understood the co-ops and everything, I was more than interested! Good luck!

Good luck everyone! I applied EA, nothing to do now but wait.

What are your guys SATs and GPAs? I have a 2010 and a 3.75 weighted. Im so nervous lol

1380 CR+M, 2080 total.
3.94/4.0 UW GPA.
Applied to engineering school.

2100 Sat
3.55 uw
5.2 weighted
1500 community service hours
applied to business school

lol I guess I’m not getting in.

Bobbyk22: why, your stats look good

Because your stats are amazing. I mean I’m pretty sure there is going to be others with your stats or better so I mean that sucks for me. I still have hope though. Hopefully they accept more people for EA this year because apparently there’s 16000 applicants Last year there were only 10000

Bobby22: The college confidential community generally represents top 5 - 10% of all college bound students in the world. While Im sure there are people with much better stats than me applying to northeastern, I know for a fact that there are people with much worst stats than me and you applying. I know about 5 people in my school applying here: all with sats around 1750. Now they may get in and I may get rejected - its just the luck of the draw.

My point being that college confidential has a pretty tricky way of making you feel like absolute crap, but its important to remember that most people are NOT like the college confidential users.

Wow that’s a very good way to put it. Your definitely not going to get rejected though. Your going to be accepted to their honors college. I hope that both of us get in lol. Is NEU your first choice? What other colleges are you applying to?

I dont think Ill get in the honors - I didnt even apply

Honestly Im still worried about getting rejected - Im hoping my community service hours stand out

BU is my first choice, but NEU is my second. If i dont get in BU ED or NEU Early Action Im going to apply to GWU, UMD, Drexel, Babson, and Penn State

You don’t apply for honors. You are reviewed for it when you are reviewed for admission

Did you have to check a box on the commonapp saying you wanted to be considered? I feel like it was so long ago I can’t remember:)

It’s automatic for all applicants.
