Since it's coming down to that time that we're about to hear, I thought I would start a thread where everyone can post their stats and if they were accepted, denied, or deferred, and what scholarships they got so everyone can get an idea of what to expect.

Here's the form to use (stolen from last year's Harvard decisions forum):

Ugh, whenever I see a new post in this thread my heart skips a beat, then I find out it’s only a change in format for the decisions that haven’t come out yet and I become depressed again, haha

Does anyone know when decisions will be released? I was originally told Feb. 1, but I can see how that worked out. All I know right now is early Feb.

Everyone keeps posting and asking. We do NOT know. At least look through previous posts in this thread before you pose a question, or use the search function.

Just wait guys. Get off CC for a while. This place is mentally damaging.

Thankfully, I was at the end of the baby boom generation, and colleges were ramped up to handle LOTS of students. I ended up going to the University of Buffalo and they were in the process of building their new (in 1973) North campus with tons of new housing to fill up. They pretty much accepted anyone who applied.

Inflation eye-opener. Tuition in my freshman and soph. years was $650 - jumped up to $800 for junior and senior years. That’s for a whole year!! I don’t recall what room and board was, but I can tell you over the 4 years, I ended up borrowing a total of $9700 from the bank. That, along with a couple of summer jobs and working part time 3 of the 4 years in food services on campus covered my complete undergraduate education.

you should hear back tomorrow night on the MY-UM portal around 8pm. i was talking to the legacy director and that is what he said they are shooting for

Should probably arrive in the mail tomorrow though, as somebody mentioned earlier that the admissions office said they were being mailed on Tues or Wed… right?

Decision: Accepted –Assumed since I have received Stamps/Singer Weekend Invitation

I would also like to take this opportunity to let you know that, because of your superior academic achievement and ability to make distinctive contributions to the University of Miami community, the Undergraduate Admission Committee would like to extend a special opportunity to you. It is my pleasure to notify you that you have been selected for two of the premier merit scholarships at the University:

Additionally, it provides a stipend for research and study abroad opportunities, totaling $12,000 over the course of four years of study.
You have also been selected as a finalist for the Singer Scholarship; this elite merit award covers four years of full tuition, totaling in excess of $150,000
